JustTabs ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Extension handles your data.

Data Collection

The Extension operates entirely locally on your device and does not:

• Track your browsing history
• Collect personally identifiable information
• Send data to third-party servers
• Use analytics or telemetry services
• Display advertisements

Data Storage

All data created by JustTabs is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API. This includes:

• Tab collections: Groups of tabs you manually create
• User preferences: Settings like theme, sort order, filter options, and auto-hide preferences
• Saved tabs: Tabs you explicitly save to collections

This data is stored in:

• Chrome/Firefox Local Storage (persists on your device)
• Never transmitted over the internet

Permissions Used

JustTabs requests the following permissions to function:

Core Permissions

1. tabs: Required to read tab information (title, URL, favicon) and perform tab operations (close, pin, move, reorder)
2. tabGroups: Required to work with Chrome's native tab group feature (read group names, colors, and membership)
3. storage: Required to save your collections and preferences locally on your device
4. sidePanel (Chrome) / sidebar (Firefox): Required to display the extension's user interface in the browser sidebar
5. activeTab: Required to access information about the currently active tab when performing operations

Host Permissions

6. host_permissions (<all_urls>): This permission is used for:
   • Accessing favicon images from websites to display in the tab list
   • This permission does NOT allow reading page content or tracking browsing activity

These permissions are used exclusively for the Extension's core functionality and nothing else.

Data Sharing

JustTabs does NOT share any data with third parties because it does not collect any data in the first place.

Data Exports

JustTabs provides an export feature that allows you to:

• Export your tabs and collections to a JSON file
• This file is saved to your local Downloads folder
• You have complete control over this exported data

When you import data, the Extension only reads the file you explicitly select.

Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Data is protected by Chrome's/Firefox's security mechanisms
• No data is transmitted over the internet
• No external servers have access to your information

Children's Privacy

JustTabs does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

Liability

This extension is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Users assume all risks associated with using this extension. The developers accept no liability for:

• Data loss or corruption
• Misuse of the extension
• Any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the extension

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Delete the Extension to remove all local data
• Clear browser storage to reset all settings
• Export your data at any time using the built-in export feature
• No data is retained after uninstallation
